Wendy to packery around 9am-noon. Live shrimp did not even get a bite!! Saw no one catching anything. Decided to go to Bob Hall Pier for a try at sheep head. Went to end of pier and found nothing biting anything. I did see one bull red on a stringer in the water in second gut. I went to the first gut to find whiting, and that I did! Caught upwards of 20+ whiting. Then I get a screamer. Thought it was a red. But to my surprise it was a good size pompano in the 16" range. So I ended the day with 8 whiting and a nice Pomp for the fryer. _________________ D. Askew |

Glad you figured things out! As so often happens on piers and jetties, the fish are very often way shallower than the majority of those fishing!!!! _________________ Dave
