Wendy to packery around 9am-noon. Live shrimp did not even get a bite!! Saw no one catching anything. Decided to go to Bob Hall Pier for a try at sheep head. Went to end of pier and found nothing biting anything. I did see one bull red on a stringer in the water in second gut. I went to the first gut to find whiting, and that I did! Caught upwards of 20+ whiting. Then I get a screamer. Thought it was a red. But to my surprise it was a good size pompano in the 16" range. So I ended the day with 8 whiting and a nice Pomp for the fryer.

Glad you figured things out! As so often happens on piers and jetties, the fish are very often way shallower than the majority of those fishing!!!! Cool
