We are fishing the FLW Redfish event in Port A in a couple of weeks and have a few questions. How easy of a run is it from Port A to Baffin Bay? Also, is it worth the run when looking for top slot size reds ? We have never fished these areas before and would appreiciate some suggestions. Thanks

Port A to Baffin is quite a journey by boat. I'd stick to the areas around Port A and the Laguna. Lots of good sized reds in the area right now, no need to run all the way to baffin, especially if you're launching in Port A. _________________ Third Coast holds the Most |

| Take lots of extra gas with you! It will pay off running south of the JFK because a lot of out of towners tend to stick to the closer spots (East Flats, Shamrock, etc.). Greater the risk, greater the reward! |

Thanks Guys,
We really appreiciate the info and help. We will be in Port A for the week preceding the tournament and will most likely get a chance to fish Baffin Bay as wel as the Port A areas. Thanks again

| I happen to know that Estes Flats is holding lots of reds in the holes and areas of Redfish Bay are loaded with nice slot size reds with the low water levels up there right now. If it isn't considered cheating, call Brent Hopkins and charter a day trip. He'll put you on the fish. |

| A lot of people just launch at bird island basin. cuts way down on transit time to baffin. our prevailing winds are from the southeast. if its windy it will be a long rough ride to baffin from port a. this time of the year is one of the windiest parts of the year. have fun on your tournament. |
