Yep, my guide used them a lot when back-bouncing for silvers on the Kenai River. There's a way to rig them so your main line can run free free of the weight needed to get to the bottom in a strong (5 knot) current. That way, when the salmon is mouthing your eggs, it doesn't feel the weight, but you can feel the nibble. It's hard to believe that an 18-lb fish can bite so delicately that you might not know it's there until you notice your line is headed upstream of the boat. Razz

Go for it dockjock, If that one is ended just search sinker slides. I am going to experiment with just an extra swivel with my mainline ran through and my weight on a short drop on the swivel.

Vern, I said "swivel" before but I shoulda said "snapswivel". Then you don't need a drop, just snap the wt to the swivel. That's the most used fishfinder rig around here............Kyle
