Anyone seen or been around a surfngo. 9.5 4 stroke electric start kayak that does 25 mph. We were thinking of becoming a dealer for them if anyone is interested.

Scott Null, kayak editor for TSM had day on them at POC in the back lakes a couple of weeks ago. And he is writing about them this month or next. There is a dealer in Victoria. Scot said it was a blast and it did really well in the back lakes. he was surprised how well it handled. There are some pics from the trip posted on TKF.
As for me.... If I had $5K burning a hole in my pocket, I might buy one. I still prefer to paddle at this point. If my old shoulders keep giving me the blues, I might be more interested. |

| Wouldn't that require TX #'s? |

yes sir it most definitely would.. even if you put a trolling number on a yak you need TX numbers.
does look sweet though for sure. It would spook the fish no doubt but would be nice for long runs.. |

| Could you imagine trolling for kings in that thing, that'd be wild. Breakin the jetties in 4 footers all day haha. It looks really fun, I like the one you can stand up on. |

Cool but pricey. I would check out the Ocean Kayak Torque for less than half that price. _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. |

| Coastal Offshore tried selling them they were at the indoor boat show last year or the year before i think looked like a good idea but expensive. I bet you could turtle it once and that engine is shot in salt water |

Check out the November issue of Texas Saltwater Fishing magazine for Null's article on the kayak outing to POC. Guys in that area have had them for a couple of years and there is someone in Victoria that acts as a rep for the company. Compare that rig to the Molaki if you are interested in the jet powered models. Hobie is teaming up with Torqueedo in offering an electric(traditional) trolling option but it is also rather trendy in pricing. _________________ Mike |
