I haven't been out wade fishing in quite a few years. Would like to get out there and get my line wet again but I'm not sure where to fish this time of the year. Anyone have any suggestions? _________________ Fish or cut bait....You make the choice! |

The shallows just inside of the Oso Bridge by TAMUCC have been good lately on incoming tide and early in the morning with live shrimp or topwaters. Also, wading around the intercoastal turnaround area and casting into deep water with live shrimp, mullet or gulps near the bottom is a good recipe for flounder. had luck in 08 this time of year doing that.
PS, I don't know about you but I busted out the waders already. The deep water gets a little chilly after a few hours, but maybe Im just a wimp. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

Wadefishing with small topwaters has been very productive lately. Find a grassy protected shoreline that is holding bait.

Deadman's hole and the flats south of Fish pass cut can be easily accessed if there hasn't been too much rain. Good mixed bags in these areas(Trout, Flounder, Drum, Reds). Sometimes I've caught Big Black Drum this time of year on some pretty light tackle in these areas. Caught my personal best Trout this year (31"11lb+) in the Spring. Good fishig back in there. _________________ I don't run 'cause it makes me tired. I don't lift weights 'cause they're heavy. -Charles Barkley |

No fish along Laguna Shores Road. Too much construction as well. Don't tear up your vehicle. Give Bird Island a try. _________________
