Met a friend about 7 at the jetties. Not much was going on caught 2 21" Reds in the channel and a couple of snapper. When I was starting to head in saw a crowd up at the front of the jetty on the surf side. Fishing was nuts up there birds were working and people were catching lots of reds and croaker. As I started cleaning my fish by the truck the Game Warden pulled up and started checking every one. It was amazing how many people suddenly decided to leave. Not much else was caught in the channel other then some small trout.

| nice reds and I love to see the GW at the jetties.. I wish they where there daily nailing them game thieves with no fishing licences!! |

I have never seen a GW at the jetties when I have been there. Its good to know that they do show up sometimes.

Ditto.... It's a VERY rare occasion to see a GW on any of the jetties during spearfishing season (which according to the pictures you posted, is just about officially over for 2009  ). I can only remember 1 time in the past 10 years or so that a GW has even stopped where I was snorkeling.
But, I'm all for more strict enforcement of the rules, because as others have pointed out, the fall run is the worst time for these low-life game thieves! |
