Good morning ya'll. Got into Kentucky last evening after one killer plane ride that took me over six states with a nice layover in St. Louis. It was 52 degrees in St. Louis and freakin unreal. We had crystal clear skies the whole way and saw some big lakes, a mountain or two, the Mississippi, Arkansas, Missouri, and Ohio rivers. Anyway, I'm now in Edgewood Kentucky just south of Cincinatti Ohio on the river and the trees and ridges are incredible. Like Austin on steroids.(Guess you can tell it's my first time out of Texas). We will be doing alot of exploring while here and hopefully some freshwater fishing.
My first meal in Kentucky was Mcdonalds...LOL and we stopped at the ultimate Wal Mart on the way to the house(cleaner than city hall in CC--by far). Man it gets pretty chilly here in the evening, but is awesome in the daytime. Good luck fishing the new moon down there and we will see ya at the end of month. Mabey a good Kentucky Bassmaster report with pic's coming soon.
later,

Oh yea...I can't say enough about the crew of the Southwest airline plane that took us on that awesome ride. I'm talking 'bout a 1/2 full plane with mega comfort and free ice cold Heineken while you enjoy the view. Plus, a round trip from CC to Louisville to CC for $258.00. Priceless!!!

There are a lot of beautful places around. Hope you are having fun!
I have been watching the Kentucky ads promoting the state "Home of Daniel Boone, Muhammed Ali, more shoreline than Florida etc." and it looks like a nice place to visit.

Thanks, we've been having t-storms all day and it's really ripping right now. Man the lightning is just plain freaky in this mountain country and the thunder is so loud that it is making me jump out of my chair. Coooool. This afternoon, we drove into Cincinatti and across the Ohio river and got lost for quite a while. Drove by the stadium where the Bengals play. Man I have never seen so much freeway in my life...Anyway I have seen some KILLER 4X4's here for sale and rust is almost nowhere. A funny thing is that Sarah asked a kid in the restraunt if they had jalepenos and he didn't have a clue as to what she was talking about...LOL Pretty cool..I may get to fish Sunday or Monday at a place called Big Bone Lick state park, I was told that is THE place around here for shore fishing for Bass etc...I brought a stack of the latest Saltwater Angler and am going to leave them near a boat ramp or tackle shop just to let these guys know what they are missing..I miss the beach already. Checked the portacam2 today and it sure looked rough...good luck this weekend ...

i'm from ky (as the username indicates). Beautiful state. If you get the time, check out Red River Gorge near Stanton, Ky. There is a place there called Natural Bridge. Plenty of easy hikes to some of the most awesome scenery around.
Can't help much on fishing info. All of the fishing I did back then was in small rivers and creeks.
Good luck. |
