Well I FINALLY made it down to wet a hook for a much anticipated BTB trip off PINS with a little shark fishing too.
It all came together at the last minute and no one was able to get away so I made the trip to the platform off the north end of PINS solo.
Arrived at the beach Friday evening after netting some horse mullet at Wilson's cut for shark bait. Unloaded and ran out two baits to the front of and behind the third bar. I let them soak while I was getting ready for the morning trip. Come dusk rod #1 gets hit hard then goes limp. I caught up to what I thought was a small shark and shortly thereafter had a 5ft blacktip on the beach. No sooner than I could finish getting the hook out for a quick pic, rod #2 takes off. This one didn't have enough to compete and was winched in uneventfully, measuring in at 52". Nothing huge, but it made for an exciting end to the evening.
The video tells the story of the trip Saturday. ENJOY!

There RAM mounts - really versitle, but pricey. You can get a mount for nearly anything.

And yes I got a new truck. Crew cab chevy w/o 4WD so I'm restricted to where I can go.... that's probably a good thing. Sold the 'ol S10

Looks like fun. But I noticed that the paddle can be tricky to deal with while trying to hook or land a fish.
I have a couple of kayaks that I use in the creek at my camp to fish and check lines. I always do the paddling with the regular kayak paddle. But for quick hands-free-instantly maneuvering, I always have a little 2' paddle that I can immediate place between my legs, or immediately grab from between my legs, without having to hold or fasten the regular paddle. I had never seen anyone take along a little paddle like that in a kayak, so as far as I know, it was an original idea. And it really works well.

Having said that - UDAMAN, kadiyaker!

The point of view and quality of this video is spectacular. Just you, your equipment, and the fish are things you don't get from a professional with a camera crew. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thank you. L

Excellent video, it is awesome for those of us that do not have a kayak just to see what you have to deal with when fishing alone in a yak! keep posting your videos and thank you for sharing.

Cheers and good job!
