the only thing I have EVER agreed with them on is criticizing Noblahma...Now, when they whined about him killing the fly, it was as whacky as it gets, but they couldn't have picked a bigger idiot to mess with.

Honestly, if you agree with anything these people stand for, you are indeed a whacko too! These peta people are off the charts whacko...as eveidenced by the term sea kitten...

Don't give them ANY credit!

they ussualy focus on "us", fisherman / hunters, many of which, are very good conservationist.

Your perspective is your reality....what about the EVIL Farmers who grow innocent vegitables and then savagely cut them down in their prime....

How about veggie rights, dont blind them taters, cutting out there eyes,
dont peel them carrots, coring them lettuce and cabbages is in human.
dont eat them boiled veggies, raw is awfully unfriendly.
we can all live on water and air and solve all cruelty to animals and veggies. dont even think about cutting a tree down live in a cave like our ancestors. Wink

I won't comment on the wacknuts, but you gotta love some of the comments you read after articles like these.

I'd probably eat more fish if they were called sea kitten sticks, to tell you the truth. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't taste as good as regular kittens but it beats having to pick the fur out of your teeth. Mmmm... yummy animal flesh.

you'll have to educate me on the stephen thing. But I'm right on the cruelty thing... Most people just don't want to know what their steak goes through before it hits the table. I've been to big stockyards and grew up around the cattle industry. It could be better.

The Humane Society is right up there with PETA, but most people don't realize it.... The Humane Society is the largest anti-hunting organization in the world. They are successful at blending in the good things that they do to mask their real agenda. Check this site out if you want to protect your rights or search for the real story.

FROM the PETA website under "Angeling"

"Imagine reaching for an apple on a tree and having your hand suddenly impaled by a metal hook that drags you—the whole weight of your body pulling on that one hand—out of the air and into an atmosphere in which you cannot breathe. This is what fish experience when they are hooked for “sport.”
Many people grow up fishing without ever considering the terror and suffering that fish endure when they’re impaled by a hook and pulled out of the water. Recreational anglers rarely stop to contemplate that fish are complex and intelligent individuals."

I shed a tear.....thas's why I putthem on ice very quickly, don't want their lips to swell up...... I think I have fishing withdrawls.

RioFrio hit it close.

PETA, is a brainless, ineffectual step child of the Humane Society Of The United States, (HSUS).

Everything PETA states in their manifesto, is directly from the HSUS.

The difference is that while most people know PETA for what it is, many people including many of our politicians, do not recognise that HSUS is just as hot about stopping pet ownership/using animals for meat or work/hunting and fishing.

Where PETA is a recognisable bunch of goof balls, HSUS has built up a following of legitimate people.

They have also developed a recognised and powerful political base in our country across all levels of our goverment, city/county/state/federal.

Do not know if it is true or not, but some folks say that the HSUS has a much more powerful lobby than the NRA.

Like some on here have said, I am against animal cruelty, but the thing I do not feel that some folks understand, is that if HSUS gets it way, ALL fishing and hunting will be outlawed, and for those that believe Catch and Release is the only way to go, that ain't gonna save you, because they do not want humans to interact with fish and game in any manner.

They do not care if you are going to fight the fish and then release it, they don't want you messing with a fish in any manner.

We all need to start paying attention and really think about what fishing or hunting or pet ownership or farming and ranching really mean to you as an individual.

Because these folks goal is to stop ALL human interaction with animals in any manner.

Just think about it.
