We got home with our new kayak last night. We got the Wilderness Tarpon 120 in MANGO from JerryB's. Jerry and Debbi are GREAT to work with, I can not say enough good things about them. I will surely buy my next kayak from them also. We finally got launched and made a trip through the neighborhood to try out the rudder. Then we proceeded to the flats to look for supper. Just as we reached the flats I saw a popping cork, I am cheap so I head over to retrieve it, and of course it swims off. LOOK OUT, the chase is on, and I am hungry. 15 minutes later, Brenda and I corral the cork and Brenda nabbs it finally. First comes a ball of monofilament line, oops somebody got spooled, I am licking my chops now. Next is the prize, the biggest hardhead I have ever seen. WOW, no wonder he spooled somebody, he might have given my Stradic a run for the money. Anyway, we head back to our fishing spot, make a few cast and bam, Brenda hooks up in the new kayak with a 23" Red, finally, SUPPER. Made it back home cleaned up, and of course went to Popeyes for chicken, go figure. Redfish tonight for dinner.
We also hit the LHL on Friday evening. Had a great trip, just didn't quite have enough water to travel freely. We took home one 25" Red, and released a couple others that were marginal. With my son having moved out, that one slot size Red is two or three meals now.

Was it a hard head or gafftop? I guess this wouldn't be a legal entry in the star tournament.
