You can take your own rig and fish the mosquito lagoon. very crowded and fish are spooky. I've seen hundreds of trout over ten pounds there, but could'nt catch any. Tons of redfish.

This time of year I'd hit all the docks from Merritt Island down to Titusville - trout and snook like the shade and it's deeper water if you are worried about running too shallow. Another option is head straight out of Port Canaveral and fish the buoys if the water is good - don't have to go too far out to get into some good fish. Sebastian Inlet is another good spot but that might require more local knowledge.

To answer your question directly - Yes, I've seen, on TV, a bass fishing tournament held right there on the lake at the entrance to the Magic Kingdom. They said you could rent a boat right there. Lots of fish caught on that show. Not my kind of fishing experience, though. I think "AnglersOutfitters" and "skunked" have your best answers. Lots of trout and reds within sight of the space shuttle launch pads. Don't get too close or you might get Homeland Security's attention. lol Have fun! Cool
