guys, did you see the dude from - London being a guide in Thiland catching rays? I was always told to strum the line or tie a crabs claws together around the line and let it slide down and tickle the ray - bang, there on the move. I have tried both these - yall? I just don't know why this guy has to muscle them up??? Do any of yall - yes, I know why ray fish when there is other fish out there, but .....
I do get a kick of some of some of the Bioologists that can't cast...or when they hold the rod under the reel like a kid..... _________________ Happy Hook'n

I saw it last night as well.. Could you imagine stepping on one of those and taking a Magic Carpet ride.. Wasn't the largest one nine feet across??? I think I have seen three or four different fishing shows now that show huge and weird fish..

I was surprised that the ray wasn't fighting when they held it or let it go -it looked all calm.. I guess when you are carrying a sword on your butt and can use it, you feel pretty confident. _________________ Happy Hook'n

Those big rays were really calm... Nothing like the little buggers you catch down here.... I would not even be in the boat with someone trying to hold a 200 lb ray with a six foot long tail and a 10 inch barb.... The wife was watching the show with me and noticed how calm they were and that the rays were not trying to whip there tails either...

| I saw it too, it was a good show. I just wish they could have gotten the weights on some of those huge rays. |

Personaly I liked River Monsters. I watched every episode and thought that guy knew what he was doing. I saw Hooked last night of course the later episode,I'm recording the whole series. I was not impressed with Mr. Nevada. But I was impressed with the size of those ray's. Yeah I saw that guy lose that big ray I think it could have been prevented. Who knows maybe I'm wrong I saw the shank break on the hook I'm guessing it was an Owner cause they were wearing the hats. And I love Owner hooks. Maybe to much muscle. _________________ When the going gets tough, the tough go fishing... |

Hey man, when you're a 1,000 lb stingray.............................. what's to get excited about!!!!!
Also a 52" FRESHWATER [real] trout ain't really anything monsterish, depending on the species. Lake trout get HUGE!!!!
This puppy was caught 1 hour and 15 minutes from my house many years ago:
