Fished the surf on 6-30 and 7-1. Used tops and croakers. Bull whiting were chowing down on the live bait but managed a few large keeper trout.
We kept 9 over 18” on the first day with a 24”and 25”.
Have plenty of fish in the freezer so we only kept 5 over 20” the second day with a 23, 24 and 26 incher.
Released several under 18” both days. Also caught a very large smack over 5 lbs released and 2 18” reds.
Water was beautiful on Wednesday but the bite turned off at 9:30.
