Hey Guys, I made it up to Humboldt county yesterday afternoon after a grueling trip. It is awesome here. We are about 20 miles east of Humboldt bay and deep in the coastal redwoods. We are about a 5 minute walk from the state park and about 15 miles south of the famous Dyerville giant redwood tree(one of the largest on the planet) I drove to Fishinrods house in San Antonio Sunday afternoon, then flew from SA to Oakland Monday morning, and then drove up here Tuesday after spending the night in downtown San Fransisco. It was COLD in San Fran Tuesday morning. I have never seen anything like San Fran, nowhere to park and pretty much everybody walks around downtown...too cool, there is some kind of bar on every corner and people just sit outside in the cool weather and have a beer or two. Sarah talked me into going to a Mexican restraunt of all things and they don't have a clue how to make Mexican food...Kikos it aint!! The drive over the Golden Gate bridge was very cool and the sea fog was freaky and cold. Well anyway, it is cool in the shade and hot in the sun here and we are going swimming in the Eel river this afternoon. We just got back from Garberville and what a sight that was. It seems like everybody grows weed for a living and drives Toyota 4X4's. Trust me, you need one to get up these redwood covered hills...Anyway, peace guys and I will be enjoying the ....ummm....produce up here.
later,

Sounds like your having fun. Still hot as hell down here I know you're not missing that. Are you going to fish for Tuna or Salmon? Good luck with the local produce I heard they have good greens over there . Have fun and Happy 4th.! _________________ When the going gets tough, the tough go fishing... |
