Spent Saturday working on installing a new garage door opener after the last one took a crapper. Limit switch failed and the screw drive screwed so hard it twisted the carriage and the attachment points beyond salvage.
Surprised it didn't push itself through the wall.
Got up today and was supposed to meet up with Jim from work. Told him to be at the rendevous by six....well at six fifteen I took off for my launch spot. I hate waiting for people.
Water looked great. Wind conditions were ideal as far as I was concerned....read that as being less than 30mph. Paddled out to the area I wanted to fish and proceeded to. First cast picked up an 18" red. Second cast I hooked up with a 'yellow mouth' that released itself about 10 feet from me. Looked to be about 27. Moved a bit and strung up a 'just over' 20 red. He didn't know he was hooked till he was about 5 feet off the tip of the rod. Looked up and saw me and took off as best he could. He didn't get far. Almost right away another good bite proved to be a 22" speck.
Well about that time two 'flippers' showed up and I moved on down a ways. I lost two more nice specks before boating another 22 incher. Good day for me when I catch more than one speck. 'Flipper' showed up at my new location and so I moved again. Took me a while but I managed to find a nice 24" red....of course that stupid dolphin came to see what I was doing with his dinner. Told him it was mine and paddled back to the truck. On the way I saw him toss a mullet in the air and snag it on the way down. Guess he didn't miss that red too much.
Got home and finished wiring up the new garage door opener.
Another good day.

| Nice fish! That would be a personal best for me on the water. My best trout is 19 and my best red is 23. The one on the top picture has some serious shoulders. |

| Thanks for the report and pictures. Looks like you had a nice day. Though you didn't seem overly put out by the flippers, they are a natural welcome compared to visits from power boaters or potlickers. By moving, you probably caught more fish. L |
