Great shots! Question - Where were these pictures taken, and what is the ID of the anamal in the 5th picture.

I got these in an email, but the animule in pic # 5 is a Coati. Hard to tell 'cause his long tail doesn't show in the pic.

Yeah really, where were those taken. The mountain lion is pic is awesome. Coatimondi are not common at all in 99% of Texas. I was bitten by a pet Coati when I was in college, great looking critters.

Best as I can remember, someones pet coati escaped from its cage in Kingsville several years ago, climbed a tree, and unexpectley dropped down on someone passing under the tree. It was reported that they were scratched and bitten pretty good trying to get away from it. Was that you Carlos?

cephus that was not me.

I was bitten in harlingen when I was going to school at To Stupid To Improve (TSTI) in 85. Yeap I am old. Sucker has some really sharp teeth. My friend owned one as a pet. Sucker bit me on the wrist and I was lucky he did not hit the vein. Blood all over the place really bad bite. I had blood poisoning past my elbow before heavy antibiotics took care if it. Scary.
