Needed a "Mental Health Day" from work so took a paid day off today. Have been exploring some new to me waters lately without much to show for it except one barely legal red. Decided that I should head for more familiar fishing grounds, so loaded up the yak and headed for the 'old fishing hole'. Got out before 'can see' and found the wind already blowing, but not too bad. Water was higher than I have seen it in some time. The wind changed direction about four times today and I had to change locations accordingly and managed to find fish each time, unfortunately not all were in the slot. Should have had my limit of reds but settled for two nice eaters.
Tossed a lot of different lures today but caught these two on large chunks of mullet.
