Though it has been wet and cold. Any reports or observations offshore will help me decide on what to chase after this week.
How has it been offshore recently?
Hows the water look?
Where's the blue water?
Any nearby trash lines? _________________ It's a good day to be alive! |

Hey we went offshore last monday. Lot's of Kings 40 miles out and tons of snapper at the rigs(of course can't keep until June).
My brother and I are freaks about fishing and would love to meet someone with an offshore boat. I can't afford the 1500 dollars to charter my own boat but I do have money for gas, tackle, etc. Woul be willing to pitch in 300 to 400 if someone would take us out!! I am also a professional chef and will offer my services for trade!
Good luck out there!

The wind has been howling here (Port A) for most of 2009 so far. I've managed to fish one day, and can count on two hands the number of "fishable" (read: not getting your supple bum kicked!) days I've seen.
Hopefully the wind blows itself out soon, and the seas come down. Today/Monday looks fishable...2-4', then supposedly 2' through Thursday. Hopefully someone will make it out.
Unfortunately I've got to work all week, and my bottom machine is acting up again _________________ I'd rather be fishing |

I'm sure the wind has kept everyone in the bays, but I have this week to spring break. Only looking forward to traveling out a few miles to the tankers or the closest 15 and 17 mile rigs since we only have the 22ft Bluewave down. But hopefully we can bring down our 26ft offshore Larson before summer time for the longer trips. I'm going to plan on a Tues or Wed offshore trip if the waves stay at 2 feet. Hopefully we'll have a somewhat offshore report for ya. _________________ It's a good day to be alive! |

Last Monday was amazing, as brother Marty and I ventured out on the Scat Cat. Im not much for motionsickness, but the boat netted 70 kings in less than an hour.
Delicious
