Hello all not new to site but this is first time posting. Now if anyone could tell me how do you get to the packery jetties from san antonio. Any advice on how to fish them would be nice as well. I am not new to the jetties i have fished the port a north jettie for years and done very well there usually start at the tip and work my way back to the surf fishing both sides. The reason i want to try the packery jetties is because i have a 6 and 3 year old and well they look a little more family friendly then say the port a jetties. Thanks for the info. _________________ Life is good! Especially while fishing! |

Welcome fellow fisherman!!!! I wish that I could be down there too.........
Packery is very people friendly, almost too much so for me! Having to take life and limb into account tends to keep the riff raff under control on other jetties.............. _________________ Dave

pretty easy to get there...
head to coast.. and go over JFK (hwy 361) at the main light turn left that will get you to north packery jetties turn past the first bridge.. (just like if you are heading to port aransas via land versus ferry)
if you want to go to south packery go down to whitecap and turn left to where the hotels are it loops around and the entrance is at the end.
south packery jetties is more family and not so much party scene.. _________________ Fish and Hunt Baby.... so tight lines and clear scopes. |

| Make sure you get a beach parking sticker. It's a popular spot for tickets. |

as a followup, fishing at bob hall pier is free and SO is the parking. park in the lot and no problem. park south of park or north of park and you need the parking sticker, 12.00 for the year. _________________ ccbobber |
