Here's a quick report on some red action...

My brother and I managed a couple trips down to PINS, one before Thanksgiving and one this past weekend. The reds kept us busy at least while the bite was on. Both times they hit in the afternoon. On the second trip they hit till sundown, but we already had a limit and stopped fishing to eat and get some rest. On the trips we ran into old grass on the lines which required some maintenance. We found the grass north and south. This was the case noth and The Fish were in the first gut with the finger mullet. Driving on the low tide was great. I was hoping to get into some pomp action but no luck. The HDX and Diawa SHA-30 comb is awesome and my favorite long distance rig - easy to cast with good distance. I haven't used my 15 ft ugly sticks in a while...LOL. I hope to get in some fishing over the holidays. Hopefully the weather cooperates. Till next report be safe if you are out there and enjoy the holidays. Cheers!
