Met up w/ Tarpon Tamer and hit the water early, sliding out around 6:30AM and back at the trucks at 12PM. Flat calm, not much water left as we paddled out. One nice rain shower w/ no lightning so it was just a nice air conditioner! For the day between the two of us , 3 reds to 25" and three trout 17-18" along w/ a number of 13-14" trout released. All fish on top water, with many missed chances as there were quite a few blow ups. Mike lost a trout well into the 20's, as he lost a hook off his topwater...Got really HOT towards the end hastening our retreat to the comfort of the A/C. Fish for dinner tonight!!
Got creative w/ dinner tonight. Trout with a "cool & creamy" avacado, tomato and cucumber salsa.
To feed two-
4 medium trout fillets
1/2 Avacado (cubed 3/16")
1/2 Tomato (cubed 3/16")
1/2 cup diced cucumber (3/16")
1/3 of a package ranch dressing mix
1/4 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons mayo
Combine ranch dressing mix, mayo and milk, mix til smooth, combine chopped vegies. Pour some of the liquid on the fillets to lightly coat, sprinkle w/ garlic salt, pepper and paparika. Saute until brown in even parts butter and extra virgin olive oil. Transfer two fillets to each plate and spoon the salsa mixture on top. Garnish w/ thin slices of remaining avacado and tomato. Enjoy!!!

Hey Naples... thanks for buddying up w/ Tarpon Tamer. I know he has had a great time w/ ya the couple of times y'all have gone fishin. I worry when he goes by himself. I am somewhat of a "safety girl" so it makes me more at ease knowing he is not out there by himself. Looks like you got yourself a nice stringer too. Great report. I am sure he would love to go w/ you again. _________________ wishn i was fishn...at the beach! <*)}}}>< |

MTT,
Enjoy fishing w/ Mike, always a good time, though tough to get weekdays off and find myself having to fish the weekends more often than not. We're both lucky as we have wives who encourage us to fish! Thanks for letting him out!!
