It's gotten so bad we hoggies want our A&I back!!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I didn't care that the first part of TAMUK was Texas A&M, College Station acts like a bunch snobs anyway Laughing Laughing Laughing

Case in point, they came to Kingsville for a deer capture and one of our profs used his truck to winch chase trucks out. his winch has been used before so the cable is all kinked and won't go on prefectly strait but it goes on. One those A&M pukes comes over and takes forever trying to get it on prefect, one of my TAMUK buddies tells him "Man just get it on there and get it down road". HE turns and points at a branc new Chevy 1500 Z-71 with a winch on the front that looks like it's NEVER been used and says "Well that ones on strait I guess ya'll don't do things the Aggie way". LMAO I tell him "Yea we actually use our trucks in South Texas, HELL I bet that thing doesn't even go thru a mudhole in front of a Beer joint".

And that's when A&M got they're hind end handed to them for the 2nd time that year Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

went to A&M in the 80's,,, and we had a Team in the 80's.. RC Slocum was great.. since then.. well it hasnt been the same.. Alamo Bowl.. that is not a bowl game.. at least not compared to the Cotton Bowl.. But If TT can take it and keep up. Will back a Texas team over any other out of state team any day of the week.

Couldnt remember what the thread was.....

Wow was I wrong! Congrats to all the TT alumni, I could use a low interest loan.

I still think it is going to be UT and Florida playing in the big game.

Self-sabotage: Why Some Schools Can't Handle Success on AND OFF the playing field.

New research shows that how people view their abilities on the playing field impacts how they respond to success on AND OFF the playing field. Texas Tech found that they thought of their capabilities as fixed and likely became anxious and disoriented when faced with dramatic success, causing their subsequent performance to plummet, compared to those who thought of their abilities as changeable.

People often sacrifice their success in the name of greater certainty.
Coaches sometimes fail to create a better environment, in which a malleable view of one's abilities is encouraged. Often labeling the players and putting them into their respective boxes, and kind of implying that that's what you do and that's the limit of your abilities.

Sometimes coaches fail to create an atmosphere in which people are encouraged to try new things without necessarily fear of failure.

Texas Tech can't handle success?????????????

Whatever, we are 10 - 1.

That looks like a pretty successful season to me.

You sound like most everyone else.....just waiting for a chance to downgrade a team that isn't one of the traditional powerhouses.

I swear the media treats OU and Stoops like they did Obama. Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oklahoma is a god of a school.........Stoops will part the waters of the BCS at will.

Tech did not handle the pressure one little bit Saturday.... Don't get me wrong I was pulling for Tech but after just getting by UT I didn't think they would against OU.. Of course the media thinks OU and Stoops is all that because they have been that good in the past and still are this year... Tech never was in the game and looked lost from the start...
