Does Tech still litter everyone else's stadium with tortillas?

The tortilla throwing has been highly enforced over the years, and the tortillas are confiscated throughout the course of a game. A few bad fans ruined the tortilla tossing. Tortillas are only thrown at home games.

"I will only fire a warning shot across the bow of the Aggie Alums. It has to be disappointing year after year to field a team with a praised recruiting class only end up barely being bowl eligible. Enjoy your stay in the duldrums of the Big XII, and I honestly hope it's not long before you return to the national stage."
I'll return a warning shot across your bow. The only thing worse than what you said above would be going to Tech for college, waking up the day after graduation and realizing you wasted four years of your life attending a third rate school and getting a third rate education. Sorry raiderred, but believe it or not football isn't everything. (though i admit it is high in the running) Good luck with Okie State.

I graduated from Tech in '97 and it was popular back then but has pretty much gone away. What is more interesting, is that the state of Aggie football is so bad that the the only thing you can think to talk about in November is something that was popular 10 years ago and not about your team contending for a Big 12 championship, National championship, or even a bowl game. I usually do not trash talk about Tech because it has been a life time of disappointment, but as they sat "get it while you can."

| A&M has certainly done an outstanding job convincing their students that they went to the absolute best college. |

| I didn't see too many last weekend in Lubbock, but then again I was hauling butt to the exit right after the TD. |

I graduated from Tech in 99 and 02.
The tortilla thing started in 1994 when an ESPN analyst made the comment that the only bowl game that Tech could ever make to would be the Tortilla Bowl.
Hence the start of throwing tortillas.
At the home games today, you can still see a few flying here and there.
I agree, all A&M can do this season is pout and talk trash about eveyone else.
This weekend is going to be an awesome game. |

Didnt go to either school.... but I did go to a SouthWest Conference School. Without question the Big 12 is the premier league - this year. With Tech, OSU, OU, UT and Mizu probably having the best QB's and O lines in the land (that was painful to type ). And they each have some guys that can catch it as well.....
But I am gonna have to take the Cowboys and the points. I will take the over as a hedge!
Gonna be a great game along with the UA LSU game......
Look for a UT / Florida BCS Championship as long as they both win out. |

the whole a&m/college station thing is really a cult disguised as a college. go on a game day, its creepy!
also, they were only good when they had r.c. slocum, and ya'll got rid of him to the delight of tech and ut fans. good job.
to sum up aggie land, its a bunch of wannabe farmers who grouped together with some high school rotc rejects, gave each other buzz cuts and run around 'whooping' and wearing ugly maroon. then they had a decent defense for a few years but still never won anything in the mid 90's and suddenly think they're god's gift to the universe. the sun is setting on your reject university, your parties suck, your women are ugly. the end is near. i bet ut drops 70+ on ya'll. |

Didn't go to Tech or A&M either. Seems it's so bad at A&M these days that all the Aggies I know have sunk to bragging about the band and the halftime.
Man - that's really sad!!! |

Football is obviously huge in the fabric of Texas, and the rivalries are strong this time of year as we approach bowl season. I don't recall comparing educational merits, and I'm glad this discussion has stuck to FOOTBALL.
No disrepsect to TT, RB, or Rudy. |

Who got giged today? lol....66 points...the most ever scored by an opponent at kyle field...haha...and you take a cheap, misinformed shot at tortilla throwing....
good try--not! Do a little research before you post! Or did they not teach you that at atm...
Its pretty sad when you come up with some lame thread like this, and then your team gets throttled and gives up
66 points!!!!
