Well in case you haven't heard Island Supply in the Bluff is closing. I hate to see it go. They are a little higher in price but the knowledge from the employees especially Charlie makes up for it. I guess the bright side is that everything is marked down 50% while it lasts. A lot of the trailer parts were gone as of this morning but if you need anything from the hardware store now is your chance to get it for half price |

| That is sad to see happen. Like you say they were a little high on some things, but the service and help that you got every time there absolutely made up for the few dollars I might have saved else where. |

Bummer. Gonna miss that store.
Charlie was my right-hand man back when I rebuilt my boat trailer. Wont find another hardware store (with boat parts) that gives you hands-on support & info no matter what project your working on. Plus had automotive parts also!
Ace accross the highway not even close.
This sucks. _________________ -STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!- |

That sucks. They are a great little store, that always call you by name when you walk in. Not many of those left. We Bluffers will be losing a real treasure when they lock the door.

I've rebuilt a many a trailer outa parts from that place. I understand that Charlie himself bought all the trailer parts as he to re-builds trailers. He was always a very helpful guy. Husky trailers over on Ayers has a good selection of trailer parts but most are black painted steel not the galvanized that we use on our saltwater dipped trailers. I guess the price goes up now as I have to venture further into the wild to find acceptable parts for trailer overhauls. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

| Charlie has moved out to Rodd field and yorktown, the industrial park and opened up there. Took all the boat parts and misc. with him. Good luck luck, Osolonghorn |

Never lived on the island, but was there enough to be called loco... i mean local. Been there a few times and you all are right, would be worth the few extra dollars for the priceless service and expertise. Hope things work out great for them... Maybe more time to enjoy some fishing or what ever he loves. _________________ Fish and Hunt Baby.... so tight lines and clear scopes. |

| Is Charlie just hanging it up saying its time to retire or is it a financial decision? Either way his place will definately be missed. |
