Late to report
20+ slot reds and 15 trout on mullet and topwater - last Thursday
47 reds (yes you read that correctly sportsfans) on Friday morning between 7 and 10:0 am.
I called Tyler when we had thrown back 20 and later on during the fishing rush. He said something about having to work despite the fact he lives about 14 minutes from the jetties. For some of us, e-mail just doesn't do it anymore.
As typical with any front, the redfish have an off switch when the wind shifts ESE. The north wind quit around 2 pm on Friday swung around and we went back to the jetties to see the skipjack festival was in full swing. The reds were gone....for all practical purposes.
Water was sightcast clear from the North Barrier at Malaquite to Horace Caldwell and the mullet were in full force. _________________ The next epic report is currently in the past. |
