we were on the beach saturday and there were alot (10 -15) of dead crabs just floating in at the edge of the water. most no bigger than your hand, and all kinds. any idea what killed them ? they looked like they just keeled over, still had all their legs.

On Saturday I fished just beyond the 4wd sign on PINS and there were a few whole dead crabs on the beach with an assortment of body parts floating in the first gut. Managed to a catch 21" red and a small shark on cut mullet.

either a kill from the upwelling/cold currents and dirty water (clogs their gills), or cull from the shrimpers.
