Thursday night got a call from the Alarm company we had a breakin at the office and the cops already had the tweaker/theif. They caught Einstien walking down SPID with a 36 flat screen off our wall under his arm. The cops acrually knew him by name....
This morning 4:30 (alarm set for 5:30 to go fishing) same call except they got everything and no one saw anything. Cops were there in 5 minutes from alert by the alarm company.
Now I am wondering if breakin #1 was practice for break in #2. And heads up the cops told me breakins were up everywhere. It seems as though our current economic down turn has even had an effect on dopers - they have to steal more to break even. Beware and make sure you keep everything locked up. |

Sorry to hear about that Steve....Here is another one. Friday morning
another guides truck was stolen out of the parking lot at Clem's. The loosers broke the window and hot wired the truck. Some how they didn't hot wire it correctly and the truck stopped running in front of Cosway
inbound to town. There wasn't anyone caught...I guess they just walked away.
Increase in breakins? Alright....that opens an early hunting season...right?

mike, was that an overnight deal, or during the morning? that seems really strange for someone who basically works out of clem's to have their truck ripped off.
just goes to show you how much these thieves absolutely don't care about getting caught. |

Why would they care? They get caught, thrown in jail, fed, released and back to work they go. The cops had caught a guy stealing aluminum from us last year. He is a known addict with a rap sheet long enough to wallpaper a bedroom. Spent 2 days in jail and released, caught 2 more times and finally went to prison for 9 months. Spent 5 months and was released. That is just one of a few we have delt with. _________________ Don Yocum

It was stolen between 4:30a and around 10:00a (that is the time it was found on the side of the causeway. The truck still had the trailer attached.
I guess theives don't understand that some people won't call the local law enforcement if they catch you. The Castle Law does include you auto, truck...etc.

The time for vigilanty, spelling, justice is coming. Our justice system can't properly handle these types of criminals. They cost us plenty and spend so little time in jail that by the time we recover from the crime they are back doing it again. My wife is also losing her job next month now so both will be unemployed. I'll be darn if some punk is going to steal from me and get away with it. _________________ Mastergunner, supporter of hardheads for state fish of Texas |

freaking ridiculous....
reminds me of the time that someone stole two of my surf rods out of the rod holders on my truck, on a saturday, around lunch time, with my neighbor mowing his yard.
my neighbor said he figured I let someone borrow them, as some girl walked up calmly stood around for a second, pulled two of them out of the rod holders, and walked off.....
maybe a little electric fence type thing charged into the truck will help |

Fished Friday morning in the backyard and boathole area. I saw the truck on th side of the freeway in front of Cos's just before ten and noticed the trailer attached. Figured it must have broke down, but the "no boat" was puzzling. Should have guessed.......

Last Tuesday night some punk stole my Sony car stereo out of my fishin rig suburban that was parked in my driveway. I forgot to remove the face plate which I always remember to do.
I guess I should consider myself lucky because they didn't take my tackle box.
The wife and I felt really violated. |

| they took a optima blue top and a spotlight and castnet from me last week. It was in my front dry storage. I should of known better than to leave it in there over night. Im looking into one of those solar powered security lights to put over by the boat and im going to point a camera at it and leave a cheap rod and reel combo sitting awaiting there grasps.. Ill be waiting right inside with a 12 ga. pump. I probably wont even load it though just the (#@(@# should be enouph to get them on the ground. I think its one of the kids from the area.. Dont think they deserve to die.. Just get a good scare.. But if its a crackhead going though my stuff I may rethink that. Because you are all right they will never learn. |
