|
|
In a little more than a week Corpus is suppose to have double high tides per day for about three days. I was thinking about coming down from Dallas but if the tides make no difference I might wait a couple weeks.
I would love the forums imput on this.....Thanks.....Doc _________________ One day I will be too old or too dead to fish...until then I'm showin up |

More tides in a given day means more moving water.
Can also make a long day of fishing if you want to fish the peaks and valleys.
The secret is the water has to be moving. |

The fish move on tides and currents. Double tides are usually not as swift as single tides. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Thanks guys but my college degree is doing me no good here.
Are you saying it's better because of more water flow, or not becasuse it won't flow as fast?
Also, this is all for fishing BHP, the jetties or surf and such...Thanks...doc _________________ One day I will be too old or too dead to fish...until then I'm showin up |

| I agree with Stan. The four tide days don't really move enough water. Normally I do better in the surf on the two tide days because there is more water movement. In other words there is a much bigger difference between the high and low tide. On four tide days the difference is much smaller between the two highs and lows. |

Tyler explained it very well, the more tidal movement the more travelers you have in the currents , such as shrimp , minnows, all the little boogers. Just like a good flushing toilet the stronger the flush the more...well you know. So now, if have all these little boogers flowing along with a stronger tide movement, the more the bigger fish will be there waiting to pick up on a free and easy meal. Get a copy of salt water stratigies sold here on Tyler's fishing web ....lots of good stuff in these books. Keep a copy by the throne and think about the tides everytime you flush. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |
