I made it out onto the water about 1030 and the weather was awesome. Started fishing just north of pita and picked up 3 trout up to 18" using pumpkinseed/chart tidal surges on a 1/8 oz jig head. Decided to run into Nighthawk and look for reds, found 1, but he got off at the boat. I did pick up 3 more keeper trout in the same range as the others. Had to head in about four but had time for a short drift south of Pita and managed the seventh and last one for the box. the water was nice everywhere and the floating grass wasn't too bad. Nice day on the water. my best lure of the day was a norton bull minnow in bone diamond.

I found good number of reds drifting up just south of the bridge. Haven't caught any good numbers of trout in a while. Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the report TC. I wish I could have joined you. I just sat mad at work all day thinking about how I was supposed to be off and out there fishing.

Justin, I got several packs over in Rockport at Tackletown. That's been the only place I have found them in the area. Give me a call sometime.
