I know this was brought a while back but do you need a fishing license to fish on PINS? I have a couple friends coming in from out of town, will they need to buy a license? On TP&W website it states: "YOU DO NOT NEED A FISHING LICENSE OR STAMP ENDORSEMENTS IF YOU ARE FISHING FROM THE BANK IN A STATE PARK OR IN WATERS COMPLETELY ENCLOSED BY A STATE PARK." I know PINS is a national park, so does this still apply? Thanks

I have no idea but I wouldn't want to be the test case. I didn't know game wardens ever gave passes? _________________ Ray |

| A fishing license is required to fish PINS. You can take your buddies to Mustang Island state park and fish without a license. But you have a daily use fee per person in state parks unless you happen to have a conservation pass. Either way it is cheaper than paying for a couple of out of state fishing licenses. |

Yeah, make sure they get the year round license. Doesn't make sense to buy the one that will expire at the end of August. _________________ GOBZA!!!

would have to agree, the "year to date" license is the best thing TP&W ever did for fishing licenses. Have mine tied to Father's Day, might always know what i'm getting, and couldn't ask for a better gift. |
