I know this was brought a while back but do you need a fishing license to fish on PINS? I have a couple friends coming in from out of town, will they need to buy a license? On TP&W website it states: "YOU DO NOT NEED A FISHING LICENSE OR STAMP ENDORSEMENTS IF YOU ARE FISHING FROM THE BANK IN A STATE PARK OR IN WATERS COMPLETELY ENCLOSED BY A STATE PARK." I know PINS is a national park, so does this still apply? Thanks

I have no idea but I wouldn't want to be the test case. I didn't know game wardens ever gave passes?

A fishing license is required to fish PINS. You can take your buddies to Mustang Island state park and fish without a license. But you have a daily use fee per person in state parks unless you happen to have a conservation pass. Either way it is cheaper than paying for a couple of out of state fishing licenses.

Yeah, make sure they get the year round license. Doesn't make sense to buy the one that will expire at the end of August.

would have to agree, the "year to date" license is the best thing TP&W ever did for fishing licenses. Have mine tied to Father's Day, might always know what i'm getting, and couldn't ask for a better gift. Very Happy
