11/29/07, came back with 4 flounder. The largest was 23-1/2 and hogged up the whole ice chest.
For perspective, the smallest was a little better than minumum.
And, here's an action shot.
The light rigged on the yak is working well, and I plan to put it to more use soon.

Nice pics Alamo. You got satellite TV on that kayak yet?
The $4 Academy gigs are great for picking up trash on the side yard. Maybe one of these days I can make one of them flat fishes eyes pop out too. |

Really nice flounder.
Where are you finding them.
I tried Conn Brown on the 28th and all I found were small sand trouts like 6 to 8 inches. I did find the largest mass of LARGE mullet I have ever seen, about 20ft by 20ft of 18inch mullet. Then tried Roberts point and nothing, not even crabs. Tide was on the way in.
Will try again this Friday evening when I drive in from New Braunfels then in the morning to Zapata to hunt the rest of the week.

Thanks, all.
Carlos - I was working the Mustang Island area.
Rudy - I can't help but think that you had to restrain yourself from photoshopping my kayak with a satellite TV. I know, it's one step away from "pimp my yak". |

EZ yeah I live in Canyon Lake and don't go anywhere near as much as I would like to and when I do I normally DON'T catch. Keep in touch and maybe we can set a time frame.
I have to to try gigging one of these days, but its cold, maybe some real shallow water are with some knee high boots.
Alamo, I will give Stang a try if I go this Friday night, on hook and line any are you suggest on Stang.
I did see some fellas out at the packery channel gigging on the bay side of the bridge.
