After a loyal 10 year run, I got the notice yesterday to have all my stuff packed up and gone by September 30. Not even a mashed potato dinner for my 10 years of service ….

I trust the same has happened to others on the board …

I’m likely moving my Shallow Sport and business up to Bluff’s Bay. I will miss Bluff’s Landing for sure, a number of friendships forged over the years and honestly I loved the area, the Marina and the easy access to familiar spots … guess I’ll have to find some new ones up North.

Hoping something changes in the years to come, that doesn’t involve me buying a slip. And I can come back home again.

These idiots must enjoy shooting themselves in the foot. I sure wish boat storage, slips, ramps, etc weren't all so dang expensive in our area. I know there are free ramps, but they can be a real zoo some days. Guess I'll just brave the zoo when I want to fish close, and keep using Bird when I want to fish further South. Sure was nice having a ramp just a few blocks away for a lot of years.

I guess your money isn't good enough? I think you should write them back and remind them that you're an Austinite...might get you some better treatment?

I'm being silly, but this is no laughing matter....that sucks that they're doing this...I hope they fail too

I had to get my boat out of the water because I have water going into my lower unit. I wanted to pull it out there at Bluff landing and they denied me. Offered to pay him $20 just to let me pull my boat out and the owner refused and said that I can go over to market 37 or over to the island. I too hope they will fall flat their face and things get back to be what the Bluff used to be. I said so you'd rather make no money than $20 to let me pull my boat out and he said that's the way it is. I'm sure he's not going to be able to sell very much gas anymore either. Idiot!

So what my son and I did we pulled my boat backwards into my sling raised up the back end and stood down in the water and removed it and took it over to you Gulf Coast marine.

That's a real PITA Tom..
That's what I was afraid was gonna happen.

BTW, don't think they've had gas in over a yr. They told me they had to replace the the pumps and therefore to meet code, had to redo all of the tanks as well..
I don't think that ever got done AFAIK.

Here’s a new option. $500 up front and $600 a year…

I watched them create a new parking lot over the past few days where they shouldn't be making a parking lot...

Becky, your reference to a new parking lot, is that at Bluff's Landing or Boat Stop? If Boat Stop, they have a lot of developable land, including the new trailer park and multiple unit boat house.

They had cones blocking the ramps that's why we tried to get permission to take the boat out

no sir, the boat stop people right across the street from the boat launch on laguna shores...watched them dump a load of fill dirt right on the wetlands...I know about the rest of their property all too well....previous clients...
