Started out at the 2 minute honey hole and only had one bite. But it was a 23 inch trout. Left there and traveled a whole other 2 minutes. Got two big perch that I brought home for my friendly heron, Frasier Crane, that hangs around my dock. Started drifting back home and got only one more bite. But it resulted in a nice big fat 28-in girl. After taking pictures I went to release it and it was not showing what signs of life. I put it in water and pulled it back and forth for a long time trying to do some CPR on it but every every time I would loosen my grip on her she would just belly up. I thought what a beautiful specimen to become crab bait. I kept working and working and working at CPR for about 3 or 4 minutes when she finally started showing some signs of life. She moved her head a little bit and started flaring her gills. Another 30 seconds or so of pulling her back and forth through the water she finally slapped her tail and took off. I was worried for a while.

Good going!

A friend and I worked close to 20 minutes reviving a 32" ARS caught out of season then she finally made it. A good feeling when that happens.

What I hate is when a 14-1/2" speck swallows a tequila gold down to it's belly. I had one do that recently and she swam off but there's no way she survived. Sad
