Mary and I took a ride yesterday and spent the day on the road. Stopped at a couple places to do some fishing and caught only a couple trout. But it was a fun day and we had a good time.

Even got to throw snowballs at Mary.

At the end of our trip we got to visit a little art studio that was built out of adobe but one of our close friends up here. Then sat back for a little rest before hitting the road again for the trip home.

Great photos,
Thanx
Yes you did not mention the elevation of snowball photo.
Here high elevation snowpack here is way above normal. We are weeks away from driving to our mountain cabin.

Hey Zia. I am planning on coming up to Riodosa and parts north this summer for a few weeks. Want to do some fishing in the local trout streams but know nothing about it. I have several small spinning rigs I am taking. Not quite ready to get into fly fishing yet. Could you give me some recommendations on what lures I need to get for that kind of fishing.

Hey rodandroll, I'll take some pictures of some of the lures that I have success with and post them soon.

My go to lures in both streams and lakes are weighted Joe's flies. Also Mepp's spinners in various colors, but I find most success with brown. For lakes I use the same spinners plus clear corks with either wooly buggers or unweighted Joe's flies 2 feet below it.
