I went up to an area in Northern New Mexico today called the Valle Vidal. Elevation approximately 9,400 ft. It's just a stone's throw away from Colorado. The mountain in the picture below is one of the 14,000 ft peaks in Colorado called Mount Blanca. I not only do my share of conservation efforts with CCA but helped today release over 11,000 native cutthroat trout in the rivers, streams and ponds on the Valle Vidal. After helping release the fish, all through buckets and not hoses squirted into the stream, I was able to fish and managed to catch one cutthroat on a fly. It was a pretty awesome day. Hope you enjoyed the pictures.
And finally there were some pretty awesome rock formations up there.

Thank you. It never got out of the 70s yesterday. I feel good that I was able to help with such an awesome project.
I don't know how many people read the pictures of the sign but it's very interesting. Talks about the project and how long it's been going on. |

How do you get to New Mexico so often? I like visiting the Las Vegas area but the drive is a killer for us. Are there cheap flights? |

Being the both of us are retired we come up here about twice a year. We drive halfway one night and stop in Roswell and then come up to our place in Ojo Caliente thenext day. Don't know about the cost of flights but I think they've got flights out of Austin into Taos. |
