Well then, feel free to report your 'data' to a open-access, free publication, peer-reviewed Journal so that the rest of the Scientific Community can benefit from this knowledge.

The link is the Guideline for Authors, to get you primed.

What are we paying you for then? I could collect two ifel towers full of data, and it wouldn't matter an ounce as long as your CRAC committee is full of lobbyist. I had a conversation with a local who is kin to one of the former commissioners and it was literally shocking the total and complete lack of knowledge the commissioners have. You have business men (like the owner of Buckees gas stations) and people who are in the $100mil+ club that are elected by the governor. Its a broken and corrupt system with too many lobbyist wanting only what they want and not what is reality. The CCA wanted that radical crap with the 17" min, 45day shutdown, and only 2 fish per person bag limit. Luckily one of the commissioners got some sense talked into him before that vote and it didn't go that extreme. I was out catch and releasing flounder this morning as was another friend of mine on rod n reel. I offered years ago to help HRI with a tagging study and proposed it to them. Got shut down, and don't really know why. Was never told. This report HRI put out is proof 100% that what we all said (and I have the proof of what we said to TPWD) was right! But we can't beat the lobby. I want propose a ballot measure to local state reps to disband the current commission and and fill those positions with merit based employees of TPWD. The days of the good ole boys club needs to end.
