I'm having withdrawals. Haven't fished in almost a week. Looks like it's going to stay nasty for a while.

The flatties are catch and release only right now, but they are healthy and fun. I released 14 in the last three days and all were caught on the z-man diezel minnow. You almost have to wade with all the wind because the kayak only serves as transport. Walking a dropoff can really pay off.

There were a few trout biting too but it looks like the redfish are still up in the shallows.

Glen ... that's an interesting jig head. Do you get those from Zman too?

Yes, that's the Z-man Texas Eye jig head and it gives the lure excellent movement. It also solves the big issue with those stretchy plastics - it manages to keep the bait in place on the hook!

Withdrawal yes. On top of that both the Seagull Condo and Malaquite Beach webcams are down. Too cold and wet to go to beach and can't even get a remote view.

Let me start a new discussion on the forum and I'll tell all about them. I didn't intend to hijack Zia's post here.
