My stepson and his wife are staying at our house for a while over the holidays. Christmas morning he couldn't sleep so goes out to the dock around 5:30 a.m. Throwing a speck rig and he caught three or four smaller trout and then he caught this nice fat one that was pushing close to 25 in.

Congratulations to him! I know you have posted about catching trout there before, and our neighbor on the other side of Mark and Susan, Ron speaks of catching trout and reds. I've never tried, especially since the freeze, but it's encouraging for the possibilities. Maybe it's time I consider one of the lights to add to the channel's activity.

If you're going to add a light I'd recommend green lights over in Aransas pass
