Fisherman's Wharf advertising 10/15-11/5.
Guess the quota numbers were either increased based on better surveys than the past or not meeting the original quota? _________________ Steve-O

I can't find any info anywhere...
Maybe just the headboats?
Fwiw, I won't be spending that kind of cash for a 8 hr boat ride to catch 2 fish in 15min _________________ Steve-O

| Yes there is an extension for those dates. It's based solely on how much the CFH folks whine and slip the right folks stuff under the tables. As innocent recs we don't qualify ..... as usual. |

this is the explanation right here...
as awesum says, it's mainly for the dual-permitted captains, to keep them at the catch shares trough or else they would squeal...
one of these days the charter folks will want to come back to us recs....

An interesting side note to this .... I am on a 56 hr floater trip with my usual friends on the Scat Cat November 5 - 7. As it stands the first day (Nov. 5) the Red Snapper extension is still on but closes after midnight. We would return to the docks on Sunday, November 7. So we figured we were screwed as far as keeping Red Snapper.
One of our group had the wherewithal to call the game warden in Port A and was told it would be okay to keep one day limits on the boat and return Sunday. Since then two game wardens in Nueces Co. and two in Aransas Co. (one being a superior officer) have agreed. But they did warn we would be on the honor system.
So as it stands we intend to stop on the way out and get two snaps each.
