Caught some nice trout on Padre Island national seashore. They would hit a top water early, and later in the day more plastics. Caught eight keepers at first spot on top with the biggest being 25 inches plus. Then I tried about eight different locations all the way down to the 16 and did not catch another fish besides one small dink. Came back to the original spot and caught another 12 to 15 with most of them being small males. Did catch another three or four keepers sized males. Kept my three. I had to remember that the new laws apply to the surf also. Best day I have had on the sand in a while. Has anyone driven over to Yarbrough? It looks soft but doable if you had the nerve. Water was beautiful trout green, waves were 2 feet, and driving was soft but manageable with four-wheel-drive. Definitely need four wheel pass the first two or 3 miles.

Pics or no pics Shalor's reports are always good. I hope the negative post won't refrain you from posting again.

Yes thanks for the report. Was wondering how the surf was doing with all the rain. Appreciate your post!
