Hit the sand at 7am, road's end was flooded but the sand was fine. 4 hours of fishing with mullet produced 3 hardheads, water was warm at first but got much colder as the day went on. 5 or 6 rows of surf. It seems they may have had a drowning at the Packery jetties, CCFD and the USCG was out in force looking.

thanks for the report - there's more freshwater pouring through the bays, with rain through this Wed.

deputydawg, the incursion of Sargassum (finally) the past month and 1/2 or so has been a 'SCORE' for us beachcombers. I've found more cool 'stuff' in the past few weeks, than the last couple of years combined!

No need to head way down PINS. Newport Pass area has been excellent, as is Access Rd. 2 south to the Fish Pass jetties. Just watch the tides. They have been crazy high for some time now.

Thats good news! I'm heading south in the next day or two and will definately give it a try. Thanks for the tip!
