Heard the beaches in Port A were open, so I hopped on by Cladwell, and headed south to see how far I could get.
Imagine My surprise, when I come across a crew 'making a sand dune' in the middle of the beach, amazingly, right at the Port A/City of CC line!!!
Someone out there, please tell me how this is not a clear violation of the Texas Open Beaches Act????
Karen threw a fit, with respect to the Mayor of Port A. Dollars to donuts says she extends the vehicle ban come the 17th......... |

Open the bars! Why are the bars closed and restaurants can be open? Not fair!
Send everyone back to school campuses. Virtual learning is not what our tax dollars pay for! Those children WILL be OK.
What about all those unemployed bus drivers? Kids need to be on crowded buses!
Music festivals for everyone! What would Willie do? _________________ "In your guts you know he's nuts" |

Willie would go fishing. And pass a beer and a tope. And then fish some more. _________________ Fish ON! |

Nobody says you got to leave the warm and comfortable cocoon of your self imposed quarantine. |

Seriously, Becky... How does this fly without GLO approval, or consistency qualifications of the Coastal Zone Management Act?
This simply boggles my mind!!!!!! COVID or not, this is totally against the Law.
(but I will be doing everything in my power to make sure Karen doesn't even get elected to Chief Librarian this next round ) |

To put this in a Fishing Forum sense, what the County Judge did is equivalent to setting gill nets all up and down the Laguna Madre in Nueces County, and the Game Wardens just looked the other way when they came across them, just because the tag had "Property of Nueces County Judge"...

And those gill nets were to help with preventing people from contacting a festering sore of a contagious disease?
Corpus Christi and Nueces County have become a "super-spreader". All it needs is visitors. Closing the beach to vehicles has nothing to do with fishing. It does have EVERYTHING to do with tourists.
JFK Causeway "beach" is next.
Contact our AG (indicted) Paxton to challenge that. _________________ "In your guts you know he's nuts" |

The legality of the County Judges actions are obviously lost on you. I tried to put it a 'fishing language' context, but your fixation with the 'C-Word Virus' is duly noted. |

CC politics are amazing. Truly amazing. I think I'll stay in sane Arkansas for the duration. No one would dream of doing something like that here. No need to watch the comedy channel, just read Corpusfishing.com. What stunt will the clowns pull next. _________________ Gary J

It does? If only the tourist were not coming. Every little place one can park and fish or touch the water is packed... |
