Tyler mentioned in today's fishing report is that the entrance to Packery is "plugged".

I'm guessing this means it sanded in to some degree. How bad is it? Launching at Packery is central to our vacation plans the last two weeks of August and if it's unusable for a small Whaler then I need to find places to stay in Port A and launch from there.

Heard a rumor of some rocks in the channel now, and depths of 3' across it as well.. Not good.

The money to clear it may have been spent on an empty COVID overflow tent. Thanks, Boss Canales....... Evil or Very Mad

no rocks in the middle of the channel, because all the rocks that were there before the storm are still lining the channel...

yes, there is a sand plug at the very end, go very slow and hug the north jetty on the way out...

A friend and I just came back in through Packery earlier this afternoon. We came though on about a center line and the shallowest we marked was 7.2'
