| What I thought was going to be an easy chore turned out to be anything but. I removed the tow hook from the front of my 2010 Silverado and was going to replace it with a receiver hitch to put my fishing basket in. Turns out there's another bolt in there coming from somewhere up on top and I have no idea how to circumnavigate the situation. Any welders out there that can give me suggestions I will bring the truck by and have you look at it and see what we can come up with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| How many of you immediately thought of Stan before reality quickly returned? I sure did. |

Yep! When Stan was around, nobody on the forum had to ask that question... _________________

I only met the guy couple of times during his famous fish fry's. But, I will never forget him and what a great person he was. _________________ I like fishies |

yeah, I miss my buddy Stan as well...
if you got the right draw tight, then you re-use the same bolt holes that held your tow hooks on...
hint: go in from the front...

| Yeah Becky that's what I was looking at but there's problems there. Bolt coming from the top making it less than 2 in to be able to fit in the receiver in |

haha! I didn't say it was easy! there's some juggling involved...I used a jack to hold the hitch up under the truck in the right spot so I could use both hands to line the bolts up and get them started...
