I had company in my area Monday, but there was enough room to scratch out a limit and even a few to release. The bendback fly design is really working well - completely weedless and hookups are solid. The synthetic fiber allows me to skip the dumbell up front, which means the lure lands very softly on the water to avoid spooking fish. Winds were up early, but by the time I headed for the truck it was calming down and becoming a pretty day. Hope everyone got a chance to take advantage of the weather and get on the water!

Looks like lunch and dinner. Still waiting for your "crab" flies to hit the market.

I'm beginning the crab fly video, but had some realizations during "field testing" that required changing materials. It finally works like I had hoped so now it's just a matter of getting all the video pieces done and edited.

Paddled out for a couple hours yesterday after the wind let down. Got a limit of trout, one of which was a real slob, caught dragging a rapala on the way out the canal. A couple slightly undersize reds made for a fun couple hours!

Trolling lures can be a really productive way to fish (and you've got to paddle where you're going anyway). I got a 30" trout from Baffin while trolling over some reefs using plastics. In trout areas, I'm usually trolling if I'm paddling!
