Mary and I hit the serfs morning about 9 ish. Water was rougher than I thought it was going to be but the color wasn't too bad. Went South Bob Hall a few miles and put one riod out with fish bites and shrimp. Before I was able to set up my other odds I hooked up with a nice whiting. Cut it up and used it on my other rods for cut bait. Long story short the two rods with cut bait never got a hit. On shrimp and fish bites I got two pompano and two whiting. Couldn't cast up any live bait at all in the surf. Went home cleaned up everything and Mary decided to take a nap. That was my cue to get my fishing fix satiated and went out in the boat. Went to the spot I have been going to the last few days and the bite was very slow today. So slow that there was one time when I cast out and I had a loop in my line so I was stripping line out to get to loop and when I finally start reeling in the line back onto my reel all of a sudden I feel pressure on my line and wind up catching a fish. That sucker was laying right on the bottom. so not being a dummy I start to throw my lure out and let it sink all the way to the bottom and stay there for a few seconds before twitching. I wound up getting a limit of trout the biggest one was little over 20.
I wasn't going to keep them but one of Mary's good friends is having a birthday tomorrow. A bunch of women are going to get together and do a virtual birthday celebration. they're going to be online and also drive by her house with signs and honking etcetera etcetera. Mary is also going to give her all these fillets as a birthday present |

Brown'ish Truck?? Camper Shell?? I thought it was you south of Bob Hall, but I was in my 'other' Jeep and didn't think you would recognize me. And didn't stop, what with all the 'restrictions' and Social Distancing and All!!!! |

| Actually I do a lot of catch and release. Much of the fish I keep I give to family, friends and neighbors. I'm glad my reports can help you. |
