I've been finding reds feeding in schools for a couple of weeks now, but the birds finally got in on the fun Saturday. Check out the link for some fly/topwater action as the wind went from breezy to ridiculous.

| 4 wt.! I thought it was a light rig, but haven't ever experienced a slot red on a 4 wt.. Looks like fun! Glad to see back out there having fun with the fish. |

Neat video! Looks like all those flies you've been tying up are working. Red on a 4wt sounds like a blast. Broke a 6wt on a bull last year, worth it 100 percent _________________ It's not the destination, the journey is everything. |

Thanks Tyler, but actually what everyone thought was a shoulder problem turned out to be a neck disc problem. The disc was pressing on the nerve that supplies my left arm and produced a realistic imitation of rotator cuff tear. I had another level in my neck fused in mid-January and have been working hard to get back into shape since then. I'm almost ready to go offshore, but in the mean time I enjoy playing with the reds. |
