Still try to figure out night wadefishing.
Watched the wind beat my back yard to a muddy froth all weekend and then got an 8hr callout yesterday. Got home shortly before sunset and hit the Packery Flats looking for clean water.
One small trout.
When I turned to leave, I figured out why it was so slow.
Every bit of disturbed water lit up with green fire.
My lure looked like a glowing ball on the tip of a light saber.
No wonder the fish would not hit it.
Mullet looked like meteors fleeing ahead of me.
iPhones continue to be useless in low light so I cannot share the sights I saw.
If you go gigging, be sure to turn the lights out and check out the spectacular light show.
Tell your visiting Spring Breakers.
It is definitely worth seeing.

when I lived in the Keys, I used this to my advantage....my favorite was to throw black topwaters at night during the new moon for tarpon....absolutely insane having a 5 footer blow up your topwater 10 feet in front of you....definitely not for the faint of heart....

iphones do indeed suck....after having 4 iphones over the past 12 years or so, I finally took the plunge and went back to a Samsung phone....love the new Galaxy 10, the camera is amazing!

wish I could get my contacts moved over though, having issues going from Ios to Windows...

Fishing with black top Waters or black spoons is a blast at night under a bright moon. Caught many fish between Pita and my house doing that

I was gonna say trout love the luminescence. Even Clem's and a few other places line their piers with green underwater lights. I was told even from being knee-high to a pelican, in the winter - specs love the night light from a pier, even better if it's green or close to water color. The youngish will go into the light. But the adults sit right on the edge of light and darkness, and that's where to cast!
