Went to the John Dunn Bridge area north of Taos. Day started out about 28 degrees and warmed up to 48 by afternoon. Was eventually able to fish in a t-shirt. Didn't catch any fish but had a fun time.

| Beautiful! The area you are in reminds me of some of the creeks and rivers in central Texas! |

| The only place I fished in central Texas is the Guadalupe. Are there any places up there that has a drop of 660' , or close to that, from the top of the mesa to the river? Fortunately the 2 areas I fish are accessible by vehicle but in the snow it's definitely 4wd time. |

I dunno about 650 ft, but there are mesas along the Frio that most assuredly clear 450 ft. above the river. Garner State Park comes to mind. As do some of the vistas along the South Llano near Junction. _________________ Fish ON! |

| Thanks for the info. I knew the Big Bend area had deep canyons but didn't know about other areas of the state. |

Caught this guy behind the same Rock I caught several others the other day. But that was it. I saw a couple other Rock's upriver in a little bit shallower water and I figure with the sun being out maybe the fish should be there. Also switched to a little heavier spinner and sure enough got a couple others.

I thought it was the outdoor magazines because of all the fish you catch!
It's great you have a wife that shares your interests. I do too and wouldn't trade her for anything! |

Four weight rod. Dark pools behind the rocks. Frio river in or on either side of Garner State park. BIG green perch. Black Bass to 12" or better. Same kind of scenery and strategy. Fun stuff... _________________ Fish ON! |
